I first discovered my love of makeup at age 11 when my friend decided to sneak in a makeup palette in her book bag and asked me to put her makeup on. I had no clue what I was doing, but I knew I loved it. By the end of the school year I was applying makeup to everyone before school, and the tradition continued no matter how many different schools I went to. Before high school I was a pro at applying makeup on others and after high school I decided to attend beauty school. When applying for beauty school I quickly learned most of them focused on hair or nails and not makeup, I quickly withdrew my interest in the beauty industry at that point and opted to study business management. Growing bored in my career choice and still applying makeup on friends and family, after moving to NYC I decided to pursue my artistry career further. Since 2010, I have studied under some of the best makeup artists in the industry. I pride myself on forever learning and studying my craft, even after motherhood I make it a point to attend trade shows, workshops, and seminars every year. I decided to start blogging in an effort to turn my makeup knowledge into something usable for the everyday woman, and as a way to combat some of the misinformation floating around the internet. I absolutely love talking about makeup, from quality of ingredients to which products work best for the men and women I work with, no subject has ever been too small to discuss when it comes to makeup. It took me years to reach this point in my life and career and I would love to be able to share my passion with others.
